
Copper (tinned) Battery Wire 50mm²
This 50mm2 fine stranded tinned copper battery wire in great for battery connections in off-grid jobs. It is double insulated wire and great for ELV high current battery/inverter applications. It can be used in applications up to 150 amp. Follow the advice of the battery and inverter manufacturer when selecting the correct wire size. Â
If you need larger wire then run two of there wires together for applications up to 300 amps.Â
This wire in a single run is good for:
- 12V inverters up to 1.8kW
- 24V inverters up to 3.5kW
- 48V inverters up to 7.2kW
This wire in a double run is good for:
- 12V inverters up to 3.6kW
- 24V inverters up to 7.0kW
- 48V inverters up to 14.4kW

Note: if wiring your own system in NZ, you can do so for voltages up to 120 VDC (ELV) if you have suitable knowledge and experience. For LV systems (>120 VDC) this is prescribed electrical work and it must be done by a licenced electrician.
